Thrilling Shootouts Decide Final

Kulda Shines but HK Hokejs Priekam, Led by Strong Roster, Takes the Crown; HK Zemgale Secures Second

Mārupe, Latvia The end of June 2024 witnessed another successful and intensely competitive edition of the HYPE 3x3 hockey tournament in Mārupe, organized by the Latvian 3x3 Hockey Federation.

The fast-paced and engaging 3-on-3 format brought together eight teams comprised of approximately 80 professional players, many of whom currently play for clubs abroad, for a weekend of exciting action.

The tournament in Mārupe showcased a remarkable level of parity, with the tension palpable in the playoff rounds. Both the semi-final and the final matches were so closely contested that the winners were ultimately decided in a dramatic shootout series, highlighting the passionate battles and equal skill levels of the participating teams. Ultimately, the champions of the "HYPE 3x3" tournament were HK Hokejs Priekam, showcasing their strong teamwork and determination. The winning roster for HK Hokejs Priekam included: Anri Ravinskis, Kristians Samitis, Peteris Bulans, Valters Niedrajs, Otto Pauls Poļakovs, Gustavs Ozoliņš, Rainers Rullers, Sandis Vilmanis, and Linards Feldbergs. The hard-fought second place in the tournament was secured by the team HK Zemgale:Dans Ločmelis, Rainers Dārziņš, Ernests Ošenieks, Miks Tumanovs, Rinalds Vutkevičs, Mārtiņš Krūklītis, Gustavs Krūmiņš, Daniels Andersons, Ģirts Silkalns, Arturs Karaša, Aksels Ozols.

While the team demonstrated strong overall play, veteran forward Artūrs Kulda showcased exceptional offensive prowess throughout the tournament, emerging as the event's top scorer with an impressive 10 points (4 goals and 6 assists), demonstrating the skill and experience he gained from playing in the NHL, KHL, and representing the Latvian national team in numerous World Championships and Olympic Games.



It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages

Latvian 3x3 Hockey Federation continues to foster the growth of 3-on-3 hockey in Latvia, providing a unique off-season opportunity for professionals to maintain their edge and for all players to experience this dynamic format. The thrilling conclusion of last year's tournament in Mārupe fuels anticipation for future events, including the upcoming HYPE 3x3 tournament in July 2024.
